Aidan Koch
Oh I Didn’t See You, 2016, Unframed

This original drawing is a practice page by Aidan Koch, that unlike many of her other illustrations, had no intended purpose and therefore stands uniquely alone. Known for her elliptical comics that emphasize tone over narrative, Koch’s pieces engage subtraction, silence, and space with a careful hand. Koch works directly and intuitively, allowing the compositions and narratives to form throughout her process then adjusts accordingly. A. Koch, b. 1988 Seattle, WA, is an artist and graphic novelist. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Graphite and gouache Unique 14.75 × 11.75 inches
