Well known for her elliptical comics that emphasize tone over narrative, Koch’s pieces engage subtraction, silence, and space with a careful hand. Koch works directly and intuitively, allowing the compositions and narratives to form throughout her process then adjusts accordingly. This series of original drawings represents a selection of edits and unused pages from her graphic novella The Blonde Woman (2012).
A. Koch, b. 1988 Seattle, WA, is an artist and graphic novelist. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
