Cy Twombly
3 Dialogues, 1977, Framed/Unframed

This is an original print designed by Cy Twombly in two slightly different iterations for his exhibition 3 Dialogues held at Yvon Lambert gallery in 1977. This same year the gallery, which was originally located on the rue de L’Échaudé in Paris, France, moved to rue du Genier St Lazare in the Marais. Highlighting the show’s title, the poster features the artist’s signature handwriting. Gestural and “childlike but not childish,” as Twombly once put, his lines represent the artist’s hand in the mark making process. C. Twombly, b. 1928, was an American artist. He moved to Italy in 1957, where he remained until his death in 2011. Offset lithograph Limited edition Good condition, slight wear due to age 30.5 × 22.25 inches framed 29 × 20.75 inches unframed
