The cycladic face, as the name references, is modeled after Bronze age works. It is in conversation with a history of white marble relics. The naturalistic simplicity of the object is entwined with the mystique of its origins to create this delicate, genderless form.
Nancy Kwon (b. Los Angeles) ceramics scathe the lines that divide the delicacy of artifacts and the functionality of housewares. She is inspired by and trained in the art of Japanese pottery. She is based in New York City.
