Everyone is Everyone Series, 2014, Counselor, Framed

These seven pieces are selected from Robin Cameron’s expansive and colorful series, “Everyone is Everyone.” Each piece exhibits Cameron’s ability to combinine text and image while exploring personal identity and the human psyche, specifically the overlap of personality types and the interchangeability of certain human characteristics. Most notable are references to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, though the artist also cites Ad Reinhardt and Amy Sillman’s lightbulb comics as an inspiration. The series first appeared in Cameron’s 2014 solo show “Who You I See” in New York. Robin Cameron, b.1981, is a Canadian artist and printmaker currently based in New York City. She works in a wide range of media such as ceramics, printmaking, brass sculpture, film, and book making. Her books are held in the collection at the MoMA library and her work is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum. Her solo exhibitions include No Now at Moskowitz Bayse, Right Now at the at the Contact Photography Festival, Who You at Room East, and Une Seconde Vie at Galerie Lefebvre & Fils. She has also shown her work in group shows at David Lewis Gallery, The Chimney, David Peterson Gallery, and Atlanta Contemporary among others.
