This collage was created during Beacham’s editing period of his silent film “What I Saw on the Periphery.” Reimagining the concept of portraiture, his work focuses on the documentation and reconfiguration of place as it relates to personal experience within the American landscape. Beacham’s still and moving images are made from original and found materials, pieced together like an endlessly unfurling American narrative.
Jon Beacham, b. 1979, is an artist, filmmaker, and printer. Beacham currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
