MoMa PS1
MoMA PS1, Robert Grosvenor, Rooms, Framed/Unframed, 1976

MoMA PS1 was founded in 1971 by Alanna Heiss—its function was as an exhibition space rather than a collecting institution. In 1976, Rooms was the first major exhibition in its permanent location in Long Island City. An invitation for artists to transform the building's unique spaces, Rooms established the MoMA PS1 tradition of transforming the building's spaces into site-specific art and featured installations by such artists as John Baldessari, Richard Serra, Gordon Matta-Clark, Lawrence Weiner and others. Robert Grosvenor was invited to design this poster advertising the exhibition. Offset Print PS1 22.5 × 24.5 inches unframed 23.5 × 25.5 inches framed
